MECHANICAL PROBLEMS
On front wheel drive cars, CV drive shaft failure is common, you will start to hear a clicking noise coming from the drive shaft area when turning corners under acceleration.
On four wheel drive vehicles and trailers, wheel bearing servicing quite often is overlooked, leading to failure of the wheel bearing.
Over the years I have seen many gearbox failures, mostly commonly failing due to the gearbox oil not being changed regularly.
Failure to adjust valve clearances can be a major cause of burnt out valves and costly cylinder head repairs.

Domestic and commercial vehicles quite often do not receive the Servicing and Repairs they need.
Sometimes this is because owners simply do not have the time to take their vehicle to the garage.
At Technician To You we solve that problem by bringing the technician to you.

ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS
Some electrical problems stem from dirty battery terminals, a poorly maintained battery or improperly adjusted alternator drive belts.
A poor earth can contribute to brake and indicator lights failing.
If you require a dual battery system for you fridge the call us and we can instal one for you.
03
ENGINE REPAIRS
Regular servicing can prolong engine life and reduce the frequency of costly engine repairs. Should you need engine repairs we can carry out all types of engine repairs both minor and major.
04
CLUTCH REPAIRS
Clutches need to be adjusted to compensate for wear of the clutch plate. Poorly adjusted clutchs can lead to excessive stress on synchromesh rings in the gearbox, leading to grating of gears and failure of the gearbox over time.
While we are talking about clutches, when you are sitting at traffic lights waiting, take the vehicle out of gear and take you foot off the clutch, this will help increase the service life of the thrust bearing.
05
BRAKE REPAIRS
Sometimes the first sign of brake failure will be scraping or squealing noises coming from the wheels.
If you leave brake inspection to this point your braking efficiency is dramatically reduced and the damage to discs or drums could mean they will need to be replaced much earlier than they normally would have, costing you more money.
